Automate.cab — Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Automate.cab (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our service, including via our app, website, or by phone/WhatsApp/text, and your booking of rides from Automate.cab (“Service”). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
Passenger / Rider / You: Any person who books, requests, or uses a ride through Automate.cab.
Driver: A person who provides transportation services under contract with Automate.cab.
Booking / Ride: Reservation of a vehicle through our platform from a pickup location to a destination.
Fare: The price for a ride, including base fare, distance/time charges, surcharges, taxes, tolls, etc.
Cancellation Fee: Fee charged if ride is cancelled under certain conditions.
Platform / App / Website: The means by which you access the Service.
2. Booking & Use of Service
How to Book: You may book a ride via the app, website, phone, text, or WhatsApp.
Acceptance of Booking: A ride is confirmed when a driver accepts your request.
Ride Duration & Route: We strive to take you via a reasonable route. If you request a change in route, fare may adjust.
Service Area: Service is only available within the geographic area we cover.
3. Fares, Payments & Charges
Fare Estimate / Metered Fare: We provide upfront fare estimates where possible. The final fare may vary based on traffic, route changes, waiting time, etc.
Payment Methods: We accept [list payment methods: cash, card, digital wallets, etc.]. Payment is due upon completion of ride unless otherwise agreed.
Tolls, Taxes & Surcharges: You are responsible for any tolls, taxes or surcharges incurred during the ride.
Surge Pricing: In times of high demand, prices may increase. We will attempt to notify you.
4. Cancellation & No‑Shows
By Passenger: You can cancel a booking at any time prior to driver arrival without charge unless a cancellation fee applies under our policy (e.g. if canceling after driver is en route or after a grace period).
By Automate.cab / Driver: We reserve the right to cancel rides if needed (e.g. driver cannot reach you, vehicle issues, etc.).
No‑Show Policy: If the passenger is not available at the pickup after driver arrival and waiting period (e.g. 5 minutes), a no‑show fee may apply.
5. Passenger Conduct & Safety
Behavior: You agree to behave reasonably, follow driver instructions, respect vehicle property. Any damage or excessive mess may incur charges.
Prohibited Items: No illegal items, no weapons, etc.
Safety: We maintain minimum vehicle standards. Drivers are required to adhere to local regulations.
6. Driver Conduct & Standards
Licensing & Compliance: Drivers must hold valid local licenses, insurance, registrations as required.
Vehicle Conditions: Vehicles must be clean, safe, mechanically sound.
Professionalism: Drivers must treat passengers with courtesy and comply with relevant laws (traffic, safety, etc.).
7. Use of the Platform & Accounts
Account Creation: You may need to create an account, provide accurate information.
Identity & Verification: We may verify your identity, contact details.
Security: You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
8. Liability & Disclaimers
Disclaimer of Warranties: The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that every ride will meet all expectations.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Automate.cab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim does not exceed the amount you paid for the ride in question.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
9. Modifications & Termination
Changes to Terms: We may change these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll publish the updated version and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes = your acceptance.
Service Changes / Termination: We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user violating these Terms or for operational reasons.
10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of [State / Country where Automate.cab is based, e.g. New York, USA].
Arbitration / Jurisdiction: Any disputes will be resolved via [arbitration / courts] in [place].
Fees & Refunds: If you believe you were charged in error or dissatisfied, contact our support within [X] days.
